My wife and I landed in Anchorage, Alaska on Monday evening of November 12, 2012 to start our five-week journey to the United States of America.
We flew from Kota Kinabalu to Incheon, to Seattle and then to Anchorage.
We were greeted upon arrival at Anchorage Airport by a new friend named Shirley. Shirley is a friend of Bill and Betty Duncan.
Once we stepped out of the airport, it was freezing!
We walked to Shirley's car along with our luggage. It was a short drive to Shirley's house in a nice neighborhood.
On Tuesday evening of November 13, Shirley brought us to our first meal in an Alaskan restaurant and it was at the Gallo's Mexican Restaurant on Arctic Boulevard, Anchorage.
We stayed in Anchorage three days and two nights.
Then we flew to Fairbanks. Rodney Duncan picked us up at the airport. We stayed at Cindy's house for four days and three nights.
From Fairbanks, we flew to Seattle again. Then from Seattle, we flew to Phoenix, Arizona. At Phoenix airport, Lee Camarata and his wife Cindy picked us up and we drove in their Tucson SUV to Bill and Betty's house in Tucson.
From Tucson, we drove through New Mexico, through Texas, through Louisiana, through Mississippi, through Alabama, through Georgia, through South Carolina, through North Carolina, through Virginia, then to Washington DC.
From Washington DC, we flew to Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuala Lumpur and finally, back to Kota Kinabalu.
(I will add details later.)
NOTE: THIS FIVE WEEK-TOUR COSTS RM10,000 PER PERSON.
