I got my first taste of overseas adventure in the Summer of 1983 (I was in Form 4, one year before my big SPM) when my parents decided to take us siblings for a one-week vacation to Manila, Philippines!

This was during the days of the first Marcos and I remembered the beautiful Manila Bay and wide Roxas Boulevard. Back then, it felt like I was in one of those huge American cities (sprawling area with big highways).

We spent eight days in Manila.

We stayed at a hotel in Quipo, a section in the huge Metro Manila City. Places visited and things we did:

3. Rode on Horse Cart
4. Rode on Jeepneys
