The way I look at the ongoing US presidential race is that, Obama has gone so far yet oh, I don't think he looks like he is going to make it after all. US has progressed so much since Ab Lincoln days that race relations in America is arguably the best in the world; yet, analysis tells us that white majority America is not just quite ready yet for a black president. I don't think white Americans are being racist -- on the other hand, they are merely being practical. As of today, Sept 21, 2008, McCain looks like he is going to be the next US president.

In Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim needs to forget about his ambition to form a government and him the PM. Not yet Mr Anwar. Moreover, it is not good for Malaysia to have a government formed in such a way where MPs are pinched from the opposing camp. It would be similar to the coups that had happened in Pakistan and Thailand. The rival camps would never give up and the government of the day would never be able to administer in peace and in the end who suffer? The economy and the people especially the middle and low income groups. When that happens, vicious cycles would never end. So, my advice is for Mr Anwar to be a strong opposition and in the next general election you will be the rightful leader of the next government. Mark my word for it!
